
Biography
Joe Salvi joined Salvi & Maher in 2020 and was named Partner in 2025. He concentrates his legal practice on cases that involve personal injury, product liability, and medical malpractice. Before he joined Salvi & Maher as an attorney, Mr. Salvi served as a law clerk with the firm, managed a successful U.S House campaign, and interned for the National Economic Council in the White House, the Illinois House of Representatives, and the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Mr. Salvi graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Economics. He received his law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law in the top 10% of his class.
As a law school student, Mr. Salvi was the President of Student Legal Relief, a club that traveled to provide free legal assistance in New Orleans, Louisiana during winter break. He also was the Vice President of the Federalist Society, was a research assistant on state and local government topics, and provided free legal assistance to veterans in the law school’s Veterans’ Legal Clinic.
Mr. Salvi is a member of the Lake County Bar Association and the Illinois Trial Lawyer Association. Additional distinctions include 2023 Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star and 2024 Best Lawyers Ones to Watch.
Joe currently lives in Barrington, Illinois, with his wife and two daughters.
