On January 19, 2026, a serious crash occurred in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, involving a semi-truck and an SUV. The incident took place around 1:07 p.m. in the 11000 block of 88th Avenue, south of the intersection with 109th Street.

The Pleasant Prairie Police Department, Kenosha County Sheriff's Office, and Pleasant Prairie Fire and Rescue Department responded to the scene. According to Pleasant Prairie Police Department Public Information Officer Jordan Haske, the crash involved two vehicles - a semi-truck and an SUV.

Officers arrived to find the driver of the SUV trapped inside the vehicle. Despite rescue efforts, the 71-year-old man from Pleasant Prairie was pronounced dead at the scene.

The semi-truck driver, a 47-year-old man from Zion, Illinois, was not seriously injured and has been cooperating with the investigation. Members of the Kenosha County Major Crash Assistance Team and the Kenosha County Medical Examiner's Office also responded to assist with the investigation.
